I can't see the picture (broken link!) but now I really, really want to. From your description, it certainly sounds plausible. Now I'm going to be poking around in the lava all day.

Hey Zplintz, sorry for the lack of response. Glad to hear you got the DK2 working. Head tracking isn't something we're looking at right now but we may investigate it further in the future. There's so many things we could potentially add support for (a lot of people have asked for flight stick and HOTAS support, for example) and there's only so much we can realistically do, but we'll certainly bear it in mind.

Hi Zplintz, apologies for not replying sooner. If you're still having issues, you can contact our support folks at battlezone.support@rebellion.co.uk and they will hopefully be able to help you out. I don't think we're doing anything unusual with the audio devices in Battlezone but SteamVR itself can be configured to switch between audio outputs when it boots up/closes down. It may be worth double-checking those settings. You can access them from the SteamVR overlay by clicking the little down arrow in the top left, next to 'SteamVR', and selecting Settings->Audio.

I'll see if our community guys can't rustle something up. In the mean time, there's a tips thread here:

 http://forum.rebellion.co.uk/battlezone/thread/1057

There's also a guide for the PSVR version (which is essentially the same) here:

Thanks for the info, Dingofuz. We're looking into it and will aim to fix it in a future patch.

Very strange. It does indeed sound like a problem with the audio when another player joins but it's not a global issue as I've just been playing with a few folks and I could hear them fine. Next time it happens, it may be worth checking what your default audio device is set to - sometimes the headset can do some odd things with re-routing the audio playback, etc. To do so, right click on the volume control in the task bar and select 'Playback Devices'. The default playback device should have a green tick next to it.

The DX11 and DX12 versions use a slightly different version of XAudio (as DX12 support guarantees Windows 10 so we can use a later version of the library) so it may be worth switching and seeing whether it still happens in the other version.

Thanks for the feedback, Rob. I'll pass it on the design team. We've also got some improvements to the airbourne pathfinding in the works that should stop them bumping into things as often! :D

Hi NotSoAccurate, apologies for the idiotic question, but did you try rebooting your machine? We've had isolated cases that sound similar but have always been fixed by a reboot. It may also be worth running the config utility (Start in Desktop Mode on Rift) and try the DX11 version.

Hi DavEvil, thanks for getting in touch.

Touch support on the Oculus version is only really for folks that don't have access to a gamepad - it's not a motion-controlled game, hence the lack of support for the Vive wands in the Steam build.

There's unfortunately no cross-play between Oculus Store and Steam versions as they use the network infrastructures provided by the platforms themselves and we aren't allowed to mix-and-match. If you want to play with your Steam friends, buy the Steam version.

I had to manually search for it before it would show up for me, for some odd reason. Failing that, pop a support query to battlezone.oculus.support@rebellion.co.uk and include the email address your Oculus account is registered to and we'll double-check your access at this end.

Hi assured_disaster, thanks for the report. Does the game come back after a period of time or are you stuck in the blank screen? Could you try the DX11 version and see if you get the same issue? You can switch versions using the Configuration Tool utility accessible by right-clicking on Battlezone in Steam.
