Thanks for the feedback, tgrey1, it sounds like a cool idea. We always intended to add more coop-specific mechanics for multiplayer so that might be a good one to investigate. I'll pass it on to the rest of the dev team.

Yep, we've got definite plans in the works for new tanks, weapons and enemy types. We'll announce any new updates here so watch this space.

Love the idea of a moving fortress, by the way!

Hopefully the additional levels and new game mode go someway toward keeping our promise for you. We'll be adding more new levels, weapons, tanks, etc. in the near future, all for free.

As far as unlocking customisation options go in-game, it's something I personally would love to see in the future but I'm not aware of any plans for that at the moment.

The 'hold options to reset' in the demo functions in the same way that it does in the final game. The game will recentre positional tracking (try standing up and resetting it, for example) when you press-and-hold options at any point.

Rest assured, this isn't a resource issue. We're working closely with Sony on the problem and following all their advice and guidelines as best we can.

Hi GalacticMistake, sorry to hear you're having problems. To the best of our knowledge, this isn't something we're able to fix and has been anecdotally traced to hardware or setup issues in the past. We've been trying to get an official response from Sony on the issue.

We did investigate adding an orientation reset to the 'options' reset but were advised against it as it essentially allows people to play in any direction, rather than facing the camera as the system is intended to work. To the best of our knowledge, no first-party game (like Rigs, for example) uses this kind of reset behaviour.

As of the 1.02 patch, the game should automatically detect that it's running on the Pro and enable higher-resolution super-sampling, improved dynamic lighting in the cockpit and higher-resolution screenspace reflections.

Of those three, the dynamic lighting in the cockpit is the most obvious - sitting near explosions and other light sources should light up the cockpit in a more realistic manner than the 'standard' version of the game.

The increased super-sampling resolution helps to reduce shimmer by increasing the amount of anti-aliasing - you should find the cockpit text is easier to read on the pro, for example. Ultimately the final display resolution is limited by the headset hardware so it's not going to be as obvious as, say, going from 1080p to 4k on a standard "2D" game.

Higher-resolution reflections means there's less 'popping' of elements in the reflective surfaces in the game (like the shiny floor areas in some levels - glowing lights reflected in these can often flicker or pop with the lower resolution).

 I second #3.

Rogue-likes are annoying to me if I have to start at 0 each time.  Adding some sort of slow progression so that even if i fail 100 times, eventually I will build up experience points to be strong enough to succeed on try 101 is what keeps be going.

It wouldn't even have to be automatic upgrades available at the start.  I would be fine with an upgrade discount, like maybe the upgrade costs 425 instead of 500 after 20 hours of play, etc.

Thanks for the feedback - I'll pass it on to the design team. We have some ideas for the future that we are looking into regarding progress outside of individual campaigns but nothing concrete enough to talk about yet.

so i send it my psvr + camera and after 2 weeks they said they cant repare it and gave me my full money back. So i guess its confirmed to be a hardware issue?

I just bought a new unit on amazon that will arrive soon and will see if has the drift as well or not

Thanks for the reply, Jane. We're trying to keep an open mind here but it would be nice to hear something official from Sony if it really is a hardware issue.

Boost base health a smidge?

Good to hear you're getting to grips with the game. I'll pass your feedback on to the design team.

I do have an of issue with the view centre position, but it's not drift exactly.

When it happens, it seems to relate to where I'm looking when I die or when a mission ends. I can find myself staring off to the left or right depending on what was going on at the time. It happens all at once, rather than being a gradual shift.

I sit pretty much exactly 6ft from the camera and don't tend to notice much instability in the view when sitting still. There's very minor back/forth movement noticeable only in the aliasing of straight lines, so I think the camera is tracking OK.

Interesting. I've asked our QA to see if they can reproduce this at all. It would very useful if you could capture this in a video for us.

well I just send my unit in for repair/replacment. I read some posts on reddit and Playstation Support Forums about people who got drifts and got a replacement that fixed the drift. So it might be an hardware issue.

Scince sony (already 4 weeks after release) still hadnt said anything about this (software/hardware etc). i dont care anymore and just send it in. Hopefully will get a working unit back soon.

We still haven't heard anything from Sony on the issue either, I'm afraid. Would love to hear if your replacement unit does fix the issue.

Hi guys, on PRO battlezone is crisper and better looking overall. For me its really that edge for reason to buy PRO. Good job with that supersampling rebellion!

Glad you approve. Look out for the improved dynamic lighting in the cockpit too.

It's like you're reading our minds, Vengeance! We're investigating exactly that for a future patch - we're not sure yet how far we can go with it (changing radar colours, for example, is more complex) but it should be possible to add an option to alter the gunsight colours at the very least.

Thanks for the feedback, Vengeance. We're considering adding some form of health pack in a future patch, possibly only for single-player (healing in multiplayer should really be done by your teammates). We'll have to see how it pans out in testing.

Data-wise, you always receive a proportion of the data for a kill directly - it's split between a direct award and the pick-ups, so even if you can't hoover up all the pickups, you still receive a percentage yourself. I don't have the number to hand right now but I believe it's split 50-50 between the direct award and the pickups.

Regardless, these are all good suggestions. I'll pass on your feedback to the rest of the team. We'll be updating Battlezone regularly so watch this space.
